Hi all! It’s Amber here…..just dropping in to say “Hey” and fill you in on some amazing, super awesome things happening in my life right now!! So…if you are curious, read on my friend!

Oh and also today is MY BIRTHDAY so what better time to share all that is happening over here! Cheers to year 37!

So I have had so many amazing changes the last couple of years. I went from a stay at home mama of three beautiful boys to a stay at home mama building her photography business. Wow! Things have changed and I have grown so much that it doesn’t even seem real!

I named this blog post The Next Chapter for a couple of reasons. I feel I’m not only moving into the next chapter of my business but also into the next chapter of my life. A few months ago, Adam and I made the decision that our family is now complete. This was most definitely not an easy decision for me. I absolutely hate the thought of life flying by and felt that maybe if I just keep having babies time will stand still. Silly I know! I quickly realized that while adding to our family would be beautiful, it would also make it even crazier and lets face it the Thorson’s are as crazy as they can get! I am so thankful to be present in my three boys lives! Being their mama will always be my greatest achievement.

Now on to the other Next Chapter, my photography business. Something that started out as a little hobby that involved a mama wanting to learn how to photograph her babies quickly transitioned into an amazing business! I am a woman of strong faith and believe with all my heart that God had this plan for me my whole life. I have always had a strong desire to do something, to be a positive change, to give back, to help others, and to have a business. Though many times we can’t see it right away, when we look back we see that God’s timing is the absolute perfect timing. Of course I wish that I would have began this business years ago for many reasons but I know and now can see why it didn’t happen when I thought it should and instead when God thought it should.

My photography business began not even two years ago. I officially announced it to the world in January 2018. Man was I a nervous wreck! I completely put myself out there having no idea what others would think, say or if they would ever hire me. It was completely outside of my comfort zone. Fast forward to today. Here we are near the end of 2019. I am in such awe of the growth that has happened in that amount of time. Along with growth, I have met some of the most amazing photographers who I now call friends who have taken me under their wing and poured into me more than I had ever expected. They have shown me that there really are some amazing humans out there. One lesson I have learned is that if you work hard on yourself, invest in your passion, and never give up you will succeed. And sometimes your success may just surpass what you had even imagined or dreamed!

As you all know, my photography business name started as 3B Photography. This name is and always will be special to me as it was after my three boys: Beckett, Briggs, and Beau. They are my loves and that will never change. After all they are the reason all this was created.

My business name is now Amber Thorson Photography!! My website has also changed to www.amberthorsonphoto.com. I am beyond excited for this and all that is to come in the next year!! Thank you all who have stuck with me and for those I haven’t even met yet. I truly enjoy what I do and meeting the most amazing people!
