Best of 2020 | Amber Thorson Photography | Minnesota Photographer
Can we all just take a hot minute to say…….That was one WILD ride! LOL I mean seriously?!
But first I have to let y’all know that my photography calendar for 2021 is already filling up faster than any other year so if you want to make sure to get in the books I highly recommend reaching out soon!
Let me start by saying I just wrote this whole blog and LOST IT ALL!!! Grrr…..So I thought this would be a great segway into PERSPECTIVE! While I was not happy at all that I just spent a lot of time on my blog and then lost it all I had to stop and realize it’s going to be ok. I had to change my perspective and write it again.
This year has taught me so many things. I have grown so much both personally and professionally. I feel like I write this every year but then again if we aren’t growing and changing we are heading down a bad path. I believe God created us to constantly strive for better.
We are given opportunities everyday that we can either let pass by or we can notice them and then work our butts off to go after them. This year has given our family so many opportunities! I used to refer to photography as MY business but this year after some reflection, I have changed it to OUR business. I could not do any of this without these four below. Adam and the boys are my rocks and my biggest cheerleaders. They are my reason for striving for more.
We have spent more time together than ever before and I pray that continues to grow. I cherish all of the time we spend together as a family. This year I have learned to drop the things that seem important but really aren’t for the things that don’t seem important but are extremely important like sledding. We have done so much sledding the last couple of days. The laughs and memories made will last a lifetime….the laundry can wait.
I know for so many the year 2020 was the worst but I can say with all honesty that it was one of the very best for me. Don’t get me wrong there were plenty of not great things that have happened for me too but through those things have come mended relationships, more time together, insane growth professionally and personally, and a stronger faith.
Thank YOU from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for trusting me to capture your love, for following along, and for making a girl feel loved! I pray that as you all reflect you can find good in the year 2020!
Blessings on a wonderful New Year!
XOXO, Amber
